Unicorn

Unicorn

A Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader

Unicorn

Unicorn in the meadow

There’s no more of your kind

Dream in patches of flowers

Ease your aching mind

Breathe in its sweetness

Bask in the sunshine

Whisper in the air

Make this place your shrine

Your golden mane

Shimmers so bright

Catching golden rays

In the sparkling sunlight

You won’t be alone

When flowers are in bloom

Butterflies and moonbeams

Will share their sweet perfume

Bask in the glory

That God created you

For unicorns are waiting

On heavenly horizons of blue

Not only is this a special poem, it gives me such a wonderful feeling to read it! Joyful and uplifting, your words soothe the soul. I think I saw that Unicorn in the flowers...all that's needed is a little imagination. It's hard to pick a verse to copy here, they are all charming!
