Jack-O-Lanterns   Cats in the pumpkins on Halloween night Blowing out the candles and they have no light Jack-O-Lanterns dark and sinister growl Taking on the spirit of darkness most fowl Steer clear of the Jack-O-Lanterns with no light Or become their victim on Halloween night Ghosts in the pumpkins on Halloween night Playing their pranks, what a scary sight Jack-O-Lanterns laugh with pointy grins That is when all the fun begins Steer clear of the Jack-O-Lanterns' ghostly smile They snap and chase you for a country mile Witches cook the pumpkins on Halloween night Casting spells in the dark a harrowing sight Jack-O-Lanterns stare with evil eyes Watching witches on brooms flying in the skies Steer clear of the Jack-O-Lanterns with evil looks Or find your heads hanging up on hooks Hands in the pumpkins on Halloween night Scooping out their guts, a messy sight Jack-O-Lanterns smile and even sigh All their insides will become a pumpkin pie Steer clear of the desert on Thanksgiving Day night Or be many pounds heavier by dawn’s first light     Author: Nancy Lee Shrader By nannalee   © 2008 nannalee (All rights reserved)
