Danger in the Water

Danger in the Water

A Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader

Photobucket

Danger in the Water

Mermaid and her spouse hunt under the sea

Though danger all around them lurk

Swimming close, just out of sight

Waters ripple in Danger's wake

Merman leans in close in protection mode

Even in sleep he remains alert

She is beauty exposed ... that

Danger longs to embrace ... and

Steal her away from his loving arms ...

Carry her to its lair

Danger is not a whale for a shark ... or

Sea Creatures of the deep

Danger is another Merman

Awaiting his chance to strike
