Decadnetly Delectable

Decadnetly Delectable

A Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader

Decadnetly Delectable

It's not that I'm hungry

It's not that I am starved

I just want the taste ... of

Every delicious morsal ... so

Decadently delectable

Rolling on my tongue ... and

Feeding my inner soul

Weight is a problem ... but

Takes a backseat

When I smell the aroma

wafting throughout the house ... of

Mom's Apple Pie ... or

Any kind of pie

Mom's Chocolate Cake ... or

Any kind of cake

Fudge Brownies ... or

All kinds of brownies galore

Chocolate Chip Cookies or

so many others

Cakes without frosting ... like

Carrot Cake

Strawberry Shortcake

Bananna Nut Breat

Applesauce Cake

I love

All of the above ... and they

Take my breath away ... and

Add up on my scales

so many pounds

They are ...

Decadnetly Delectable
