LillianA Poem by Nancy Lee ShraderFor my dear friend Lillian Blankenship.
Lillian
With dignity and grace
Lillian walked through this life
Always a smile she wore
Even as life brought her strife
Lillian’s ministry grew
With each card filled with love
With a smile on His face
God looked down from above
In her darkest moments
Lillian’s cards still came
Reaching out to others
In the Almighty’s name
Lillian’s special gift
Made so many smile
Thinking of others
She walked her last mile
In the Lamb’s book of life
God wrote her name down
Angels have set so many jewels
In Lillian’s golden crown
God smiled as Lillian
Crossed the crystal sea
Holding His Son’s hand
God declared His decree
Lillian, come up hither
Sit next to My Throne
My daughter you are
Your heart I’ve known
You’ll suffer no more
Gone is your pain
You’ll now dance with Jesus
In heaven’s warm healing rain
I’ve prepared you a mansion
Your name is on the door
Lillian Blankenship, my child
My daughter, I adore
