The fleeting thing

The fleeting thing

A Poem by alltheloveabove
"

Letting a habit go

"

Perhaps one day one moment in your self you’ll

Realize that perhaps one place one time you could’ve sung

One more verse that I would’ve completed and trilled and gurgled and

Laugh at our happy silliness and bubble with the sheen of potential but you’ve

Stopped singing your thoughts in riddles and I’ve stopped believing

In the way our words would match each other and so we’ve

Just stopped singing or speaking or doing the late night things we always

Used to do before

Before?

Before.

I like the flow of thoughts. It felt like a personal and internal conversation. I like the question at the ending. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
