Did you forget?A Poem by alltheloveaboveA poem written together by me and my friend, Ash ☼Life in the views of a two teenage girls - Alarm clock ringing into a crescendo, the day begins Checks the phone, nothing is in. Did you forget? Pretty, shined shoes, cute autumn dress Mascara ready, must impress Did you forget? Stretched smile, books sunken in the bag I search for you amongst the nodding heads But all of a sudden, hope is dead. I'm ready, I'm waiting You're late. My dress crinkles, my lipstick fades Black streams down underneath my shades My smiles gone, the feelings back, you promised. You told me endless stories, saturated in the syrup of happiness Filled me with youthful promises. You said forever-- did you forget? •
