the order

A Poem by Nan
"

for the Pagemasters challenge # 7

"

the magician casts a magic act
not for all to see
but for some, the ecstacy of life
unfolds in blooming clarity
in autumnal equinox the rays of sun
ponder forests grown rich in earth hues
of red and gold, underfoot the crunch of leaves
sounds Indian tones that murmur
mystically inside the ground.

blue northern lisp of clouds hang lowing
like cattle, bowed heads in pasture lands below.
Life can lay in disarray but you can see
the hand of greater vows to earth
guiding the heavens, the stock,
and the ways of the land.

so this is life and simple gaze
of simple minds
appears
all is in order.

and the prayer breathes harder
all men, all men, all men,
amen.
