The Hand of a Friend

The Hand of a Friend

A Poem by naMeLeSs
"

Held up within.

"

With out a hand-hold or a tear to shed.

Remorseless and Unrelenting dread

I reach

I fall

The depth of darkness takes me

Fire burns within me

Incinerating the remnants of forgotten love

Gasping I cry

Oh dear God why?

Echo

My only answer

Landing I see

It’s not only me

A world full of fallen souls

This time when I reach

There is a hand to greet mine

After a smile and a wave

A beer and a rave

We depart.

My heart!

I feel as I walk away

Wonder and bewilderment take me

Forgotten I had what it was to feel

Never will I forget that face

With all it’s beautiful grace.
