Heart Beats

Heart Beats

A Poem by nakerjay

Laying face down,
In black of night,
These empty walls,
Trap mind inside.

Feel the twitching,
Muscles burning,
I pray to God,
I am dreaming.

Screaming silence,
I fight for air,
Peace descending,
The end is near.

Heart beats again,
Eyes view night sky,
Gentle winds speak,
It is not yet time.
