Moment

Moment

A Poem by nakerjay

The halo rests,
Above my head.
Innocence belied,
By horns of red.

White feathers fall,
From leathery wings.
While tears cascade,
And joy does flee.

A single moment,
I cannot change.
Life bleeding out,
Only death remains.
