Pretenders PulseA Poem by L.D.someone I knew
underneath your chilly exterior there is a longing for your heart to breathe freely
to breathe openly
your pulse pushes through your chest like a tsunami through opposing waves you breathe words through your mouth and out of your chest like a lifeless willow layered slightly deeper than the rest you’re hard to comprehend a kaleidoscope posing to be a woman I try to pretend that I wanted that winter to come to an end hand in hand our last push was a passionate one your compassion was comparable to the beauty of a staggerbush in the breeze, but you knew that already we are approaching our end I guess its time one of us pay the fare before we decide who the debt falls on you're already gone I have no quarrel with paying again it certainly won't be my last farewell again my closest friend © 2016 L.D.Reviews
