A Setting Sun

A Setting Sun

A Poem by nadia dmitri
"

Outrunning a hungry nightfall

"

I am so tired of driving towards a setting sun

I never get any closer to the horizon

I am greasy and tired

Outrunning a hungry nightfall

I am trying, I swear, I am

But I only have so much to burn

It's been a lifetime

Of twitching eyes and and baked gasoline

Sleep sounds nice

On evenings like these

It could be nice as like how the sun sets at evening, how worries scattered over the day too gets settle by evening on own, but it doubles and deepen until you not to try settle(set) and relax lol...😆

I'm from the west Coast we have beaches, this write makes me think where I was when I was younger two lands one Mex and the USA., but you don't realize what you describe , was going to the other side Mexican want to go to the side, run jump and even climb, but never swim, until one we went to beach with beers to keep us drunk and gas to keeps us warm but as night falls we we're out of beers so someone said who will go for the beers, so a few ran to the end of the fence cross to the USA then came to us and said, we'll be right back.
Thank you for sharing.
