Holy Wars

Holy Wars

A Poem by nadia dmitri
"

Bruising sea

"

Holy wars never

Adhere to the weather

And, darling, neither did we

A head to be severed

Skin to be leathered

Shipwrecked on a bruising sea

A lovely allegorical write in this finely penned poem, Nadia. War is not choosy about weather, it is declared and it goes ahead regardless, though the weather may hinder its progress or aid it, depending on the weather. Life goes on and so do we! A succinct poetic gem! I enjoyed reading and thank you for sharing, Nadia...

Thank you so much Marie :)
Nadia,
Well, doesn't that say it all? No whining, no complaining, like being stabbed by a knife rather than hit by a bus.

.................. cool
What a metaphor! This reminds me of the Michael Douglas movie "War of the Roses" the most brutal battles come out of love. Great write.
