This gives me huge Emily Dickinson vibes (in the best way possible). You say so much with so little, and there's so much depth that I can't just read the poem, I have to stop and ruminate on it. You did an incredible Job!
So deep are these faithless waters. The metaphor can go as deep as the sea itself or remain on the surface of the sponge itself. So short yet so vast. The relationship of wife and daughter and the cleaning of sins implies the inequity in husband wife relationship. A wife treated as a daughter in the relationship is hopefully a thing of the past. The rhyme is great in this poem as well don't let its length fool the reader of its power.
