Once upon a summer's day..

Once upon a summer's day..

A Poem by Nabeeha Mustafa
"

Learn to appreciates what you have, bore time appreciates what you had..

"
Once upon a summer's day,
when I was a child at play,
I felt time's gentle touch,
but did not think of it too much.

I did not know when summers end,
On which schedule to depend.
'Tomorrow is another day'
but it came fast and passed away..
I feared I had wasted, spent..
The greatest of all gifts God has sent.

But it's never too late to realize, they say.
You can't reverse time, but you can reshape it any way.

So living, laughing, loving it all,
I stood up and answered the call.
Darkness all vanished, washed by light,
I gave up this enemy, with hardly a fight.

For now, as I finally realized..
that when this soul is fit for rest,
It shall reside where it feels the best.

Thank you :) And surely, I will.
A beautiful poem with a fresh idea having an old one as its base. Time waits for none but yes we can reshape it. I love the positivity and the promise of better times in your poem! You've done an excellent job! Keep up the good work! :)

How we see life depends and is important for us
But we accept different persepective of more different people who rarely knows you.

True :) Thank you!
I love this poem, it takes me back to being a child and then my teens and i wonder from then to now, "Where did it go" things were so great then and somehow they seem to have disappeared, indeed Nabeeha 'Once upon a summer's day" is a memory only, we recall those days but we live these days and must shape them as best we can, thank you :)
