Cold and distant, she was.

Cold and distant, she was.

A Poem by Nabeeha Mustafa
"

Her dreams were a beautiful garden, To which he was like a horrible storm.

"
Her dreams were like a beautiful garden,
to which he was like a horrible storm.
She wished to fly,
but he was a burden on her soul.
For him, she was just like a trophy, an object he could possess.
Time passed..
A thousand words unsaid, left behind..
A thousand things undone, left behind.
Now there she stood,
Just a few feet away,
Her eyes were a magical starlit gaze,
when she came out, they were all in daze.
Glossed lips,
Faux lashes,
contoured cheeks..
They stared at her,
And she looked away..
Cold and distant..

You're welcome
You described a sad place and situation.
"when she came out, they were all in daze.
Glossed lips,
Faux lashes,
contoured cheeks.."
When we forget woman are the hope and ground we stand on. Love can fade to sadness. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

You are welcome. A unhappy woman won't hang around long.
She hides her bare soul behind glossed lips and faux lashes- her cold and distant mien an armature against the empirically glimpsed storm.

Beautiful!
