Lust and Love

Lust and Love

A Poem by Lisa Verdon

Lust is~

The b***h
howling, eager,
for her mate

Love is~

The mother
suckling her babe,
tender, at her breast

Together they are~

Deep-rooted reverence
laid beneath
a bed of ecstasy

What a wonderful and truthful depiction.. lust and love can and do work together. It is our primal core to have lust (while I admit we must have some control over it at some points, we must also blow caution to the wind at others). Love is that feeling.. higher than lust.. comes with a very high price too.. our souls.. as two join in unity to combine into one plight in a relationship. I loved the message here.. as a woman love truly is such to bear children yet still have those primal moments with our mates.. simple yet this is not grasped by so many.. we can be the sinner and saint.. everything is good in moderation! Fantastic job! =)

Wow very creative descriptions for both... and yes though many think they can't go hand in hand they can and when you have that it is so powerful.

"The b***h howling eager for her mate" This is raw and intriguing, a wonderful description. Writers must let loose and go with these pent up observations and let them flow from your pen.
