A Poem by Lisa Verdon

Beloved sea, you beckon, and I awaken at your request

I can hear your song, so seductive, whisper against my ear

Your kiss, the gentle spray upon my cheek

Oh, how I hunger for your cool embrace

Might I dwell in your kingdom, my Prince?

You tempt me to discover secrets within

Dare I venture into those abysmal depths

And taste of your splendid domain?

Tumultuous lover, speak to me

Devour my eager soul

Carry me deep within the core of your existence

And lose me beyond the realm of your solitude

Together, we drift, on our bed of intention

Swept away by the tides of lust

Then, ever so gently, you release me

Slowly, I emerge from your powerful grasp

To breathe anew, this babe no more

Sadly, I turn and stand hesitant before you

One last kiss my lover bestows

"Fare thee well," as he bows in recession,

"Sweet maiden, I bid you with all of my heart."

I've had this profile for years, but I am not on it much any longer. I will admit that it's difficult to keep up with the read requests, and I find there are those who tend to "not" appreciate honest .. more..
