Do you know the path to my heart

I can't seem to find the way

I thought that I had found it

Just the other day

I must have been mistaken

Because I'm still so very lost

Some have tried to bring me there

But for much too high a cost

I really can't remember when

The path to my heart was clear

I tried my best to find my way

But somehow could not get near

I think that all the heartache

Has blocked the way you see

Years of so much brokenness

Has kept my heart from me

I want so much to find it

To once gain feel I am whole

But until that day does happen

I'm just a shell without a soul

So won't you try and help me

Find the way back to my heart

I need to leave this wilderness

I want my life to start
