NO GREATER LOVE

NO GREATER LOVE

A Poem by Barbara Lynne

NO GREATER LOVE

It's funny where life brings us
When we let go and just say “yes”
Not worrying about expectations
Of wanting more or wanting less

The things that kept us captive
Made us feel our love must end
Now they're only stepping stones
Our hearts are on the mend

To think we almost lost our way
And let love go passing by
Fills my heart with sadness
It makes me want to cry

But something brought us together
I'm sure it must be fate
Love is ours forever
For us there's no more wait

Our love could not be stronger
Through trials we both have grown
Our hearts are joined together
No greater love will there be known

About
I have been writing poems and songs since I was a young girl. Sometimes it is easier to say how you feel and what you dream in a poem or song than it is face to face. I appreciate all comments and t.. more..
