THE COLOR OF TEARS

THE COLOR OF TEARS

A Poem by Barbara Lynne

The tears from my eyes
Flow down on my cheek
Some say I'm foolish
Others say I'm weak

But I'll cry all I want
Whether it's wrong or it's right
For my tears paint colors
So vivid, so bright

 When blue trickles down
The side of my face
It's because I am missing
Your warm, sweet embrace

 When tears flow of purple
My heart's filled with pain
My chest seems to tighten
And causes much strain

The green tears and yellow
Bring joy to my heart
Smiling with happiness
From the minute they start

 If you see me crying
Don't worry or be sad
They're just telling the story
Of the day that I've had

About
I have been writing poems and songs since I was a young girl. Sometimes it is easier to say how you feel and what you dream in a poem or song than it is face to face. I appreciate all comments and t.. more..
