LOVE GONE COLD

LOVE GONE COLD

A Poem by Barbara Lynne

Love Gone Cold
Remember when we first met
The excitement we both had
But now it seems we've lost it
And that makes me very sad
At first we would talk for hours
Throughout our day and night
Now the conversations have ended
Words are far from sight
Plans we made have drifted
We seldom give it thought
We go on sharing pleasantries
Never have we fought
Time has come between us
Plans no longer are in view
If only we could turn back time
When our feelings were brand new
But we both know that's impossible
Time has brought us to an end
Our love's grown cold but warmth remains
In the words "you're my best friend"

About
I have been writing poems and songs since I was a young girl. Sometimes it is easier to say how you feel and what you dream in a poem or song than it is face to face. I appreciate all comments and t.. more..
