TOMORROW

TOMORROW

A Poem by Barbara Lynne

Tomorrow

Tomorrow's the day
When you will arrive
Passion and desire
We will no longer deprive

We will hold each other
And finally see
That what we have shared
Is now reality

No longer will we
Have to say goodnight
On the phone
Or over an internet site

We will be able to look
Into each others eyes
And know from now on
There won't be goodbyes

A "touch" will now
Be something we feel
No longer a moment
Will we have to steal

It seems so long
Since we first said "hello"
Yet it's only the beginning
Of what we both know

We have so much love
And laughter to share
To wait any longer
Just wouldn't be fair

Our dreams will now
Come together as one
No greater love found
Under the sun

For one last time
We sleep alone tonight
From now on together
We will wake in the light

We will finally share
A warm, loving embrace
A kiss will set the tone
As our hearts set the pace

So until tomorrow
We will wait patiently
When our hearts join together
The way they should be

About
I have been writing poems and songs since I was a young girl. Sometimes it is easier to say how you feel and what you dream in a poem or song than it is face to face. I appreciate all comments and t.. more..
