THE WARMTH OF YOUR EMBRACE

THE WARMTH OF YOUR EMBRACE

A Poem by Barbara Lynne

I CAN FEEL YOUR WARM EMBRACE

My eyes are slowly closing
My mind drifts to thoughts of you
I wait for your call to say goodnight
And send a kiss or two

Seems like such a long time ago
When our two hearts first met
We've shared so much, our words our hearts
And haven't been together...yet

It's funny how your heart can tell
When you've found that special someone
There's love and butterflies dancing around
And faults, well there is none

Each time we speak the closer we get
And our feelings are set free
Each time the words "I love you"
Are spoken so effortlessly

And one day soon I know we will meet
And we will make love all through the night
Until that day your words will keep me
Wrapped in your arms so tight

Now as my eyes are closing
A smile comes to my face
As I fall asleep I know you are here
I can feel your warm embrace

About
I have been writing poems and songs since I was a young girl. Sometimes it is easier to say how you feel and what you dream in a poem or song than it is face to face. I appreciate all comments and t.. more..
