REMEMBERING SEPTEMBER 11, 2001

A Poem by Barbara Lynne

REMEMBERING SEPTEMBER 11, 2001

How well I remember that day in September
When our world was turned upside down
The cries the fear of our loved ones dear
Can still be heard from all around

We were celebrating my grandson's birthday
He was thirteen on that day, two thousand and one
Now it's a day he will always remember
Filled with disaster instead of fun

It will always be a reminder
Not just to him but to everyone as well
We don't know what tomorrow will bring
It just might be a living hell

So always tell the ones yo love
How much they mean to you
Because it just might be the last thing
That you will ever be able to do

About
I have been writing poems and songs since I was a young girl. Sometimes it is easier to say how you feel and what you dream in a poem or song than it is face to face. I appreciate all comments and t.. more..
