THE GIFT

THE GIFT

A Poem by Barbara Lynne

The Gift

I see you are feeling weary

Not knowing where to turn

I hurt when you are hurting

Come, sit down and learn

Do you know how much I love you?

And want you to be with Me?

Close your eyes and see My arms

Stretched out on that old tree

That's how much I love you

I died so you could be

The woman that I fashioned

To love and worship Me

I gave you a voice of an angel

To sing for me each day

A voice to sing my praises

And worship Me and pray

The words you have are from Me

The melody is too

Share your song to a listening ear

And use the gift I gave to you

And when it's time to come home

Ten thousand angels you will hear

Singing your songs to welcome you

As they bring you to Me my dear

About
I have been writing poems and songs since I was a young girl. Sometimes it is easier to say how you feel and what you dream in a poem or song than it is face to face. I appreciate all comments and t.. more..
