HIS EYES

HIS EYES

A Poem by Barbara Lynne

His Eyes

When my day is done and I come home
Exhausted and in need of some peace
I don't go looking to take a warm bath
Or cuddle up in my blanket of fleece

I don't kick my shoes off my aching feet
Or pour myself a tall glass of wine
I know what I need and just what it takes
To fill my heart and make me feel fine

It's one look in your eyes and then I can rest
For it's your love and warmth that I see
In the eyes of the man that holds my heart
There is no place that I'd rather be

About
I have been writing poems and songs since I was a young girl. Sometimes it is easier to say how you feel and what you dream in a poem or song than it is face to face. I appreciate all comments and t.. more..
