HE WHISPERED "I LOVE YOU"A Poem by Barbara Lynneyou can hear His voice in all situationsHE WHISPERED "I LOVE YOU" Did you hear that? I know I did I heard it loud and clear He whispered "I love you" So softly in my ear It happened as I helped a child When she fell and scraped her knee She looked at me, yet I saw Him As she said "thank you for helping me" And then again when I gave a man Some change so he could eat "I love you child" I heard Him say "Now come, sit at my feet" Some warm clothing for a homeless girl I thought my heart would break "I love you" whispered in my ear "That you give and seldom take" The children crying all alone Left behind, no love for them you see I may have held them with my arms But His are what held me And when I found myself alone I heard His voice once more "I love you" whispered in my ear "More than I ever did before" "You let them all see Me in you With all that's in your heart You gave yourself just as I would From you I will not part" And as I smiled and listened To Him whisper "I love you" I knew that I was blessed My soul has been made new © 2011 Barbara Lynne |

Sometimes it is easier to say how you feel and what you dream in a poem or song than it is face to face. I appreciate all comments and t.. more..Writing
