CALL ON HIM

CALL ON HIM

A Poem by Barbara Lynne
"

when there is no where else to go...go to Him

"
Call On Him
My tired eyes grow weary
My body aches with pain
Remnants from my busy day
Effects still do remain
I try so hard to push myself
Don't give up, that's not my style
But sometimes this damn Lupus
Shows its face once in a while
It tries to get the best of me
Knock me down and take my joy
It's just the work of the enemy
He comes to steal, kill and destroy
Sometimes he almost has me
Tries to hold me to the ground
But then I softly whisper
Oh what a beautiful sound
I whisper, Lord please help me
And He's there right by my side
To quickly break  the enemy's hold
And make him run and hide
Then with His hand he reaches out
And gently lifts me to my feet
The pain retires from my body
As soon as our eyes meet
Don't ever feel you're defeated
Or think you've lost the victory
Just call on the name of Jesus
He's always there for you and me

About
I have been writing poems and songs since I was a young girl. Sometimes it is easier to say how you feel and what you dream in a poem or song than it is face to face. I appreciate all comments and t.. more..
