a heart and a love to share

A Heart Of New Beginnings

The Lord has given me a heart

Filled with compassion and with love

A heart that beats within me

But gets filled from up above

 It always seems to amaze me

How He knows what my heart needs

And how He puts His trust in me

To go and plant His seeds

 I do my best to share His love

With everyone I see

Now He's sent me my reward

When He sent you to me

 Now the heart that I have beating

Filled with love and so much more

He said it's time to give it

To the one that I adore

 He said He sent you to me

To change your hurting heart

To help you find love and peace

And begin a brand new start

 He said to say how much He cares

That He has always been with you

But it's time you put your past aside

To become His and be made new

 He knew where I was coming from

And the pain that I've been through

Never thought I could trust again

And then He sent me you

 He made it known within my soul

Truth and love would always be

He took our broken, empty hearts

Formed a new one in you and me

 One that has no pain or sorrow

No more hurt for us to bare

He's given us a special heart

For you and me to share

 A heart that will forever join us

As lovers and as friends

A heart of new beginnings

Filled with love that never ends
