TINY LITTLE FACESA Poem by Barbara Lynnea poem about the little faces that I paintTINY LITTLE FACES
I love when I paint On little ones faces With runny noses And untied shoe laces
All with big smiles From ear to ear Trusting and loving So precious and dear
Whatever I paint So grateful they are A dragon a train Or a bright shining star
The look so intent As I dab with my brush As they look in my eyes My heart turns to “mush”
And when I'm all finished In the mirror they see Exactly what they said They wanted to be
Then they turn with a grin Their shoulders they shrug Give a shy little “thank you” And a great big hug
I leave with a heart That's filled with such joy From the smile on the face Of each girl and boy
