TINY LITTLE FACES

TINY LITTLE FACES

A Poem by Barbara Lynne
"

a poem about the little faces that I paint

"
TINY LITTLE FACES

I love when I paint

On little ones faces

With runny noses

And untied shoe laces

All with big smiles

From ear to ear

Trusting and loving

So precious and dear

Whatever I paint

So grateful they are

A dragon a train

Or a bright shining star

The look so intent

As I dab with my brush

As they look in my eyes

My heart turns to “mush”

And when I'm all finished

In the mirror they see

Exactly what they said

They wanted to be

Then they turn with a grin

Their shoulders they shrug

Give a shy little “thank you”

And a great big hug

I leave with a heart

That's filled with such joy

From the smile on the face

Of each girl and boy

Children are so unique and wonderful. I find myself enjoying random silly conversions with them more than small talk with adults.
So cliche to say that I know, but every child is a true blessing and I love this sweet little poem about the special little friends.
Great piece. :)

About
I have been writing poems and songs since I was a young girl. Sometimes it is easier to say how you feel and what you dream in a poem or song than it is face to face. I appreciate all comments and t.. more..
