MY MORNING

MY MORNING

A Poem by Barbara Lynne
"

did you ever have one of those days?

"
My Morning
My eyes are hardly opened
As I slowly get out of bed
I bend down to find my slippers
"Ouch" I bang my head
As I straighten up my body
There is cracking in my back
I take my first step forward
"On no" I found that tack
Back on the bed I'm seated
Rubbing my head and toe
Forgot what I was sitting on
Satin sheets, to the floor I go
Now my tail bone seems to be broken
My head aches and my toe hurts
Suddenly the hiccups start
They come and go in spurts
I try to get up off the floor
To the bathroom I must be
I hobble up and close the door
And slam it on my knee
God has a sense of humor
He's used it many times on me
I"m happy to be His vessel
But right now I need my COFFEE!!!
I make it to the kitchen
To get my morning cup
And as I drink I wonder
Why did I ever get up!!!

About
I have been writing poems and songs since I was a young girl. Sometimes it is easier to say how you feel and what you dream in a poem or song than it is face to face. I appreciate all comments and t.. more..
