THUNDER, LIGHTNING, RAIN AND YOU

THUNDER, LIGHTNING, RAIN AND YOU

A Poem by Barbara Lynne
"

sharing the storm, safe with the one you love

"
Thunder, Lightning, Rain And You

There's thunder and there's lightning
And rain outside my door
Somehow is seems different
Then it ever did before
I would always run and hide
'Neath the covers when it came
But now that you are here with me
It just doesn't feel the same
I have your arms for comfort
And your smile to ease my fear
No need to count the seconds
Telling me the lightning's near
It's so nice to have you with me
And not face the storm alone
Just the two of us together
No computer, text or phone
So let the sound of thunder roll
As the lightning brights the night
It's in your arms where I belong
Keep me close and hold me tight

About
I have been writing poems and songs since I was a young girl. Sometimes it is easier to say how you feel and what you dream in a poem or song than it is face to face. I appreciate all comments and t.. more..
