THANKFUL

THANKFUL

A Poem by Barbara Lynne
"

being thankful

"
Thankful

When I think of being thankful
I know where to begin
Back on that wooden cross
Where He took away my sin

Though I'm as filthy rags
He sees me white as snow
Forgiven  past to future
The depth no one will know

He died because He loved me
To the Father be reconciled
To live with Him forever
To be His beloved child

His Mercy and His Grace
He graciously gives to me
He forms me to His likeness
To be all that I can be

So yes, I am quite thankful
For what He's done for me
I pray all eyes will open
And see just what I see

I see a beautiful soul...is there any better tonic than an attitude of gratitude? I don't know of one. Bless you.

About
I have been writing poems and songs since I was a young girl. Sometimes it is easier to say how you feel and what you dream in a poem or song than it is face to face. I appreciate all comments and t.. more..
