A Poem by mystiere13

Tick tock, Tick tock, Watch the clock, Every hand spinning.

Im sorry, Im so f*****g sorry, Ive tried so hard, No I don't need you.

I don't need you to hold my hand, I don't need you to see me through, These dark days are mine to bear, Mine alone to hold.

Fall in love, Be happy, Careless words, Of a generation gone cold.

What would it matter? Where is the care? My god, I cannot bear this pain.

Telling me, One more time, Screaming at the top of their lungs, "You are strong!"

But how strong, Can a girl like me be? With her world collapsing, Needing someone to lean on.

No, I do not need you, Do not be my guiding post, Keep your distance.

Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock.

Can you hear the clock? Spinning, Spinning, Stop.

An endless circle, A moment of bliss, Always searching, Needing.

No. I do not want this. I Don't care! I simply do not care.

Can't you see? Im falling apart. Tick, Tock.

I don't need salvation, I don't need hope, Give me a break. Im not superficial.

All the diamonds, In the world, Could not buy, This broken little heart.

You didn't know her, Me, Who I was, Who I will be again.

And maybe you won't see, Because just maybe, I will not be around, I won't keep you.

But would it matter? In the end, Everyone leaves. Everyone walks away.

Can you hear, Tick, Tock, The clock?

Spinning, Spinning, Spinning, Stop.
