Life without your love

...

The sun shines as usual

but the brightness has gone away

the natural warmth has disappeared

and the cold wants to stay all day

 

There is not rain forecast today

but dark clouds roll freely by

they seem to hover around my head

and I question just who am I

 

Deep purple disappeared from my dreams

the aura is now a deeper azure blue

the sadness has filled my aching heart

since you took your love with you

 

Did you know loneliness was the color gray

when there is no one to hold your hand

It seems time stands still in the hourglass

as I observe the trickling sand

 

Somehow I feel a peaceful happiness

that you not longer have constant pain

God has taken you away to rest with him

and my loneliness is not in vain

...
