Happy

Happy

A Poem by Fabiola Sully

Happy

I want to be happy.

The feeling of euphoria,

Running through my veins.

The glare in my eyes,

As the light hits the retina.

The relief of stress,

Leaving my brain an vessels,

as the veins and the arteries dilate.

From this joyous sensaton.

My muscles relaxing on my face,

As the smile grows,

Showing the world its glory.

But a last, this is a temporary state.

For the more I try to grasp it,

The farther it gets to me.

And my negative energy and thoughts seems,

More powerful than my positive.

As the joy extis stage right,

the negative sets in.

And the vessels and brain constrict.

My heart begings to tighten,

My face produces my frown,

With watery eyes.

I wish happiness was my permanent state of mind.
