CassandraA Poem by Fabiola Sullyi thought about a friend of mine while writing thisCassandra
I met up with my friend Cassandra, Asking if we can meet for lunch. She turn me down, Saying she was busy. She has chapters to read; papers to write, And club meetings to attend. We will meet up some other time. I promise you that. Years later, I saw Cassandra. I wanted to celebrate my new job, And a new man in my life. She turned me down, Saying she was busy. She has projects to go over; reports to review. And her boss is on her butt. We'll meet up some other time. I promise you that. Years later I saw her again. With wrinkles on her face, and tired eyes. i want to celebrate the birth of my first child. She turned me down. Saying she was busy. She's traveling all over the world. and dealing with family issues. we will meet up some other time. I promise you that. Well, she has kept her promise. We finally met up with each other, and told her about my life. While she sat and listened, In her grave. © 2008 Fabiola SullyReviews
