MaritzaA Poem by Fabiola Sullyinspired by a little girl I use to babysit...she is 16 now.Maritza
look through your brown eyes, With your content grin. Wondering where has this little girl, With the inquisitive mind had gone. Yesterday, you were a baby. Following me wherever I went, and never wanted to be alone. But now you have became independent, You cling on me. Or ask your cute questions. As I watched you grow, I still feel that you need me. I would shield you from the pain and drama. The suffering and hate, I have experience in this world. That's if life would let me. But I understand you need to grow. And I don't want to be blamed, For holding you back. So, I must set you free, For you to see what life has to offer you. But in the back of my mind. You're still the baby who clings to me.
