A Silent CryA Poem by Justice Smith
A silent cry
never to be heard, like it's not even there. Much more than one person can bear. So quiet and without sound. Never to be listened to, never to be found. Fears of being judged upon the discovery of a silent cry. How the pain and misery made everything black. How wishing has never worked. And still it comes back. Hiding in the shadows. So deep out of sight. Never to be found. Without a sound, without a prayer. Hiding the pains, that souls cannot bear. Hiding the fear and the anger. But nothing is stranger, than knowing a silent cry is there, and yet nobody will care.
