Our Own History

Our Own History

A Poem by Justice Smith
"

Just something that came to my head.

"
We are the bearers
of our own history
what is
what was
and what is to be

we carry it
in our own selves
we are unique
insomuch that
there's an infinite number
of could've beens

but only one
of you

with days that
should've been
but never were

and times that
seemed impossible
but were
inspite of everything
real

for we are
who we are
because we
are the bearers
of our own history

A few errors that harm understanding: "won selves", "becasue".
With 'infinite' you probably mean 'infinity', but it reads fine either way in my eyes.

This poem shows me the endless stretching out of personal time, linked from human to human.
