Echoing Eclipses

Echoing Eclipses

A Poem by myst-ry

In attempts to scrape off darkness
from the others who are eclipsed,
we instead splatter ink from our pens
staining the lines that we ourselves eroded
and search for rays we once blocked and evaded.

As we approach bewilderingly
to halt the penumbra from expanding
expecting their sight, vivid, splendid
echoing their silence with words that they resist,
find their eclipses are from shadows of us, that persist.

This is awesome. I love the originality & the unique vocabulary, not the everyday words there. I love the first stanza, very enticing & intense. The last line is very capturing as well. Fantastic piece :)
