Spring

Spring

A Poem by Ibreez Shabkhez

Spring
What doth thou bring,
Merry birds upon thy wing
What sweet melodies they shall sing!

All winter were the daffodils
Crushed by Nature's power
But once more they shall tower
Upon the Highland Hills

Upon a Glorious April Day,
The children come out to play.
The redbreast finds his mate
And all is ever so gay.

Thank you so very much. have a lovely weekend.
Lovely tribute to spring. Playful...I felt like Tigger bouncing around singing it as I read.

There is such a beautiful form and flow in your words. You breathe hope in the strength and joy of spring.

As Chels said, this is written in an older style, and I love it! Because of that it has a certain charm and flow to it. Not a lot of people write in this style anymore, so to do this successfully is really great, my friend.

Nice poem, you write in an older style, which is cool. You don't really see it much!
You created a really nice picture of the flurry of spring! I especially liked the line about daffodils!
Great write!
