A Poem by Emily DeAngelo

Come sit next to me
Let's read our favorite book

We'll open our mouths
To read what's seen on the pages
But we'll close our eyes
To really get a look

Melt away fears of forgetting yourself
Listen to the story

Let go
Run where freedom of imagination reigns
Fly away to whimsical places
Leave realities behind
