The Continent of Your Kiss

The Continent of Your Kiss

A Poem by The Night Poet
"

Exploring all that a kiss can create, cause and be for us to surrender to love and bliss.

"

The continent of Your Kiss
I close my eyes and begin my journey
A journey along the miles and miles of your kiss

I start ever so gently on the western shoreline
Placing my lips softly upon yours with slight anxiousness
of what may or may not be

I move slowly towards the east over your plump
rounded surface as I cross effortlessly
Taste by taste the fruitful waters splash against me
Ocean waves on a stormy night along the shoreline
drench my lips over and over again

Approaching the equator, I'm overwhelmed by your body
entering mine like a wet wind filling the hollow cavern
left alone by the emptiness of the past

I steer north towards the thinner coastline
Fruits and berries arise and ooze their syrup
while I slowly extract their sweet nectar

Then I make my way to a southern coastal sundrenched beach
The richest chocolate, and most exceptional port wine
on my tongue, make me faint
Dazed, I squeeze every drop it has to give

A weak slave, gladly to devour more of what has

made me faint and vulnerable to all that you give
At this very moment, I surrender
and fall back into the blissfulness of my journey
Across the continent of your kiss
