Abandoned Island BeachA Poem by The Night Poet
My feet
splash along the turquoise waters
as it takes its final breath From depths, she arose, in search
of freedom away from darkness past
I feel our hearts split by their perilous journeys are taken
by the final tide that is here at last begins to burn my salty, dry and torn body
into a
deep and much-needed sleep for their long-awaited treat that soon will fill their emptied bellies
Now I can
only pray to be awakened in her arms once more © 2018 The Night Poet |
