not alone in a world unknown

not alone in a world unknown

A Poem by Chloe Powell

I am hollow
And when I say hollow I mean:
I can't even feel what I ate for breakfast,
Scrambled eggs with a side of lies;
Yes, I'm okay, of course I'm fine.
I am empty,
But boiling to the rim with chaos,
My confidence slipping through evaporation.
I am lost;
no map could ever find me.
But in my world unknown,
Beauty does sure grow,
Through the roots
Up to the leaves on the trees,
Happiness is calling me.
Every step I take,
A new flower grows.
You are the rain that falls,
You feel you have no purpose.
But with every step I take,
I see you following closely behind.

About
I love writing, though I'm probably not even close to being the best. I always either write or draw during my free time and would very much enjoy even a small amount of recognition. I post on Wattpad .. more..
