Memories

A Poem by Chloe Powell
"

Short Poem

"
Behind the door
Are memories sprawled
Across the floor
Memories crawled
Filling my mind
With things from before
Things I'd wish to forget
I wish they werent there anymore
Memories mauled
Leaving me broken
With words left unspoken
Memories sprawled
Behind the door
They're not there anymore

Gee
The rhyme comes across forced in places, word used more for their sound than meaning. A common fault amongst us rhymers

I typically stay away from rhyme when it comes to poetry, so that may be why it sounds forced.
