Loss

Loss

A Poem by Chloe Powell
"

An abstract poem using paint chips/sample (with color names) as inspiration; the theme is losing a loved one.

"

Olive fringed fleece
Draped over plain sheets.

The vacant room
Smelled fresh as spring.

Floral breeze
Invaded the room.

Green silk
Attempted to block it.

Through hidden secret passages,
Floral breeze intruded.

The room smelled fresh as spring,
But my heart felt like winter,
Thin as ice.

For spring had always been
Your favorite season.
And green
Your favorite color.

About
I love writing, though I'm probably not even close to being the best. I always either write or draw during my free time and would very much enjoy even a small amount of recognition. I post on Wattpad .. more..
